RE: HELP ME WITH MY TRACK!
to sucure the 2x4 drill a hole with a wood drill bit then just steak it down
to get the grass and weeds out of my back yard for my track i first got my lawnmower and jamed it all the way down so the blades went into the ground and to finish it off i rented a weed waker and tiped it on the side and dug lots of fun and dust every where
(caution: if you gona do what i just said get a mask first you dont wana be breatin in all that dust and pollen from the plants and grass you cut up)

RE: HELP ME WITH MY TRACK!
Do that to your dads lawnmower and you AND the track idea will be out the door! lol.. got a rototiller? how about a quad runner? i used a rototiller to loose the top soil, actually i also used it to dig deeper to help with corners and mogel areas, i need to add some tabletops, but again the rototiller will be used to dig in an area to get soil to build up the table tops and help sculpt a few more corners.. a quad runner and an old single bed box spring set to pull behind on the general area to turf out the basic track area, then came in with a rototiller, shovels, garden rakes, plastic leaf rakes, hatchet, chainsaw, hoe, machette, ect and our southern friend Manual Labor!.. such a hard worker he is! lol, and started to make a track. heres a few links to view pics, turns, give you some ideas. best thing to do, is choose simple but challenging to drive . add an idea here and there, some elbow greese, and you can have a nice track, area permitting.. i have about 50-60 ft total width to use, and total of about 300ft deep. for now we re in about 35x70, give or take. total hrs is 2 guys ave 5 hrs a day for 6-8 days here and there to get to our current set up. we ll be finishing it up this week so we can bash next weekend on the new digs!!! YEAH BABY!!!!
heres a link to check out the pics. [link=http://nitroobsession.proboards79.com/index.cgi?board=tracks&action=display&thread=11453 99462]Pix of Track Build in Michigan.[/link]
have fun, make it usable. and remember, its dirt, you can change it with you new friend Manual Labor if you dont like it...
