Default Trickle charging homemade hump pack...

Hey boys(and girls)

Just made myself a hump pack with 5 x AA 2500 batteries, i bought a trickle charger for them, cant afford a propper charger yet, been spending to much on the car..!

For about how long should i let this charger charge the batteries for?

http://www.modelsport.co.uk/?CallFun...n&ItemID=14073

gonna run car to let the failsafe kick in to say the batteries flat, then about how long before i put the charger off, a rough idea would suffice , as i dont want to overcharge the batteries and ruin then..

thanks..

Time for slow charge is usually 1.4 x 1/10 of the battery capacity. In your case that would be 250 mA for 14 hours.
It doesn't say how much current it will supply so I can't say how long it will take but use this formula to calculate:

Time [hours] = 1.4 x battery capacity/current

In your case: T = 1.4 x 2500/current

Couldn't find the charge rate of that charger. List all the stuff it says on it and maybe we can figure it out.
