Composite ARF meeting DM
Guys
Just returned from the first Comp ARF weekend held south of Frankfurt in mid Germany, weather was mixed all weekend, but we managed plenty of flying with just about the whole range of models.
I guess the most interest to this forum is the Flash which was flown in both colours with P70 and P120 turbines.
Performance is great, I didn't get to play with one as the German "tea tray" and "ski pole" model 1 and 4 Tx's didn't suit and I couldn't find a suitable Tx that worked!
But Thomas Singer and Wolfgang Klur both smiled ear to ear and said even better than the Lightning.
We were flying in and out of a grass strip around 150 yards/m long with a 90 degree cross wind all weekend which my Lightning coped well with, the Flash was off in 80 yards/m with the P120 and 100y/m with the P70.
Jason Shulman, Frazer Briggs and Andrew "Jet Ski" were there playing with mainly prop jobs-although I did let Frazer fly my Rookie on a buddie lead...he found the need for speed!
Just a couple of pixs

Sorry been...catching up.
It needed 100 yards/M with the 10mph wind we had, More flap is available so it's in and out of that length just fine.
P 70 performance was fantastic with plenty of vertical, I expected it to be fine...others were surprised how well it went-hey Mikey!
I think it will end up with a lot of P80's, but I am sure it will fly fine on a P60/MW 54 too!
The models flown were all as the initial kits without full ducting, expect something later this year for even more speed!
Comp ARF gear copes with grass just fine-it was not that short and nothing bent or came loose!

Nose has foward hinge flap only and mains short covers only. These are not drag covers, they were just cut short on one model.
The whole thing is simple. 4 screws total attach wing and tail...that's it!
Fuel capacity is now around 3 ltrs so even with a P120 its 12 minutes flight time

The flash seems to be a real good plane. more info and video would be great. i have a 120 that i can starp on this one. Is it convenient to have a 1 pc. wing? Isnt it a pain on the field to get the plane inverted for setup?

Anybody know when, if not already, the flash will be available in the US?

RE: Composite ARF meeting DM
Hey guys
Mine was due to be delivered the end of July (UK). I've been told by our rep that it will be mid August.
I'm not too bothered about the delay myself, as it will go on the shelf until I'm wringing out my Intro for all it's worth!! [8D][8D]
Mark (UK rep) did say that there had been a lot of orders they expected to 'drop out', but didn't. So the factory has been extra busy!!
I'm sure it's going to be worth the wait!
