A temp gun is a ery helpful tool especially for a begginer who isnt as expeirenced at tuning. I personally use a duratrax one, and it works fine for me, Ive found the readings to be accurate, and i got it for $20. I dont see why anyone would need a temp gun that goes all they way up to 482 becuase your engine should be anyhwre near that temp. Your engine should be running around half of that number. Even 325 isnt necesary. If your engineis running over 250, youve got a problem, 270 and your engine is in big trouble, 300 and your engine is either going to be ruined or already is.

depends on which car you have, i have a jato and temo has to be between 220-270, if it is 300+, you will start loosing compression and youre engine will be done, i use this temp gun, really good one.
