Default Sig Koverall over Fiberglass

I am in the process of covering a !/3 scale Spacewalker using Sig Stix It and Koverall. The process is working well so far. I am about to cover the wings and continue the Koverall right over the fiberglass wing tips as recommended in the instructions. In a test I found that the Stix It/Koverall combination does not work well over the fiberglass. I have roughened the tips with sandpaper but the Koverall seems to peel off easily. Any tips?

haven't used koverall, but did my 1/3 s/walker in coverite and used balsarite on the 'glass tips after roughening up with 220
paper. That was 10 yrs. ago--still stuck
Cheers, Dave.

Thanks, I discovered that by simply applying 2 coats of Stix It the bond is good. Sanded and cleaned with laquer thinner first.
Here is a picture of mine with airframe complete and another of one I saw at the Joe Naul Giant Scale Fly In. The owner actually competed at Top Gun with it, there is picture in July RC Report magazine.
Seems Spacewalkers are more popular than I thought. Got a picture of yours?

Glad the problem is solved, I don't have any pictures of the 1/3 on the web, but if you go toRCFCBC.COM go to gallery my 1/2 size is there. Has since been re-engined with a 3W 200, has also flown on floats.
Cheers, Dave.
