If you want a serious pipe for a GREAT value that sounds awesome and boosts power you need a Fantom pipe. I have one of these on my .25 and just bought another for my new X. Everyone who sees it loves it. I'm not kidding this pipe is wicked. I've seen these online for $70. I PROMISE you will not be dissappointed. Just email the guy who I bought this from on Ebay and tell him you need one. [link=http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=6064082140&ssPage Name=STRK:MEWN:IT]HERE IT IS [/link]

The Fantom pipe is probably a good pipe and is sure made out of the best material. But you would think for the price they could do s better finish and that label is terrible! Unfortunately good pipes are not cheap! I have only run one pipe on my 4.6SS and it is the one that came with it. I am very happy with it and is much better from what I have been told then the composite one that comes on most RTR Savages.

At least the aluminum one holds heat better then plastic composite.

No I have never seen one in person but it looks like even on the chrome one they could do something better with the label. How heavy are they? I know steel is supposes to be best because of holding the heat. I all so know they say they are hand welded one at a time. Do you have one and well do they perform?

RE: which pipe will be the best?
I don't have one, but a guy I know has one on his 18TZ powered Tamiya Terra Crusher. first off, the pipe just flat out makes the engine sound EVIL with a nice little pinging (like what you get with a 1:1 car that has a REAL engine and full-length headers), and the pipe isn't much heavier than a stock Maxx plastic pipe either, oddly enough. (he's running the Maxx 2.5 version of the pipe with a Fantom Maxx 2.5 header
I think the label looks cool, might be a generational thing:P

He is running the steel big block pipe on his 18TZ? If I am not mistake all the small block pipes made by them are aluminum.

RE: which pipe will be the best?
I am mistaken once again as I just looked and they do make one steel small block pipe that I could find. Does any one have a link to the manufactures web site? Now trying to find someone that has it in stock.
