Ok I know thqat I am starting a war here, but I need some info on these two engines. which way would you go? I just purchased a fiber Classics 2.6mtrs and I am looking for the "best" twin in the 100cc range I can get for this plane... so please let me know your opinion and why.....

The plane was designed for the DA. I think balance will be a problem with the BME. Mine balances perfect with everything on the servo tray with the DA engine. You dont have real good access in the front nose to be mounting things either.

I've got the new 3W in mine. Unless you're considering the new BME Extreme 110 I'd look either the DA or 3W... You need the weight and thus far a BME isn't even close IMO... The BME is a great engine it just isn't as strong as the other's...

Default 3w 106

Thought you might be interested in this engine. It is the same weight as the DA 100 and the displacement was increased from 97cc to 106cc. This engine smokes. Tons of power but the throttle response is what really stands out. Only 4gallons of gas and the spool up with a 28x10 menz feels like a 26x10 on the older 100. Yes, I had the older engine to compare. If you have any questions let me know.

Depending on which version of the extra you bought the 3w will stick out of the cowl 3/4" without standoffs. I was told that they are going to change the firewall section to accomodate the 3w engine but I dont know if any of those kits are available in the states yet.

You could the the firewall off of the plane and move it back for the 3W 100.

My buddy is flying his with the 3w 85 and it is awesome. It is a vertical rocket with the 85 on ZDZ mufflers. It is swinging a 27 10 menz.
