Default Question about Re-Covering

I am doing my first re-cover on a World Models P-51. My question is: How can I get the old MonoKote from between the trailing edge of the wing where it meets the leading edge of the ailerons? And more tricky, how to I re-cover this area? The plane has metal hinges, is there any way to dissasemble these and take the aileron off?

Thanks
Brandon

Default RE: Question about Re-Covering

Cut the hinges off and replace them with CA hinges. They work fine. I have a recovered several WM planes and use CA hinges on most of my planes. Just cut new slots for the hinges. real simple really.
