Default go big or go small

I was wondering which would be better to start out with. I like the mini z's but I heard that they don't ride to well on the streets. That you have to ride them on low carpet or smooth concrete. Where s the bigger rc's whether it gas or electric do quite well on the streets, any help would be great thanks Derrick.

As your first hobby grade r/c do not go with nitro. mini-z's are ok if your gonna be running in the house or smooth pavement. But thats just about it. If you wanna go bigger and electric i would go with a traxxas rustler or a duratrax evader. the rustler is far more durable than the evader but the evader if more nimbe, agile, and quick. And stay with off-road for your first car so you can have a bit of fun instead of limiting yourself to just onroad.

If parts are available local for you, I suggest the XTM X-cellerator. I have the nitro version and it is a great Stadium Truck, and very inexpensive.
