I have a Draganflyer coming!!!
I have a Draganflyer coming this week, and now I can't wait. I skipped the video camera that rctoys.com sells and I went for this one on BoosterVision.
http://www.boostervision.com/cart/sc...p?idproduct=86
Most of my flying will be within 1000 feet so I am sure the 3000feet range with booster antenna will provide a clear pictuture.
I will run this camera with a 9volt, so it is not tied into the DF board, this should help keep the video clearner. with less break ups. I hope!
Anyways, I also order the DF frame stiffiner kit from rctoys.com, I want to firm up the DF frame for AP use. The link on RCtoys.com web site for the install instruction is not working, does anyone havve a link?
I am now looking for a small lightweight still camera, I have seen some on Ebay but the resolution is too low to be of any AP use.
Just reading up on the DF... and the tips!

Sounds great, tons of fun! You might have to work around some mounting and vibration issues on the camera. In any case, welcome to the club!

RE: I have a darganflyer coming!!!
Yes I have read allot about some of the issues when taking video, I am sure the basic setup I have will work OK.
I will also balance out the blades on this chopper, with my blade balancer, alot of shake can come from bad blades.
Next is the frame kit I bought to stiffen up the arms, After watching countless DF videos, I got past the WOW stage, and started to watch the mechanics in flight, that is when I really noticed the motor arms moving and flex, This is not what you want to happen, that can lead to all kinds of stablity issues, if the motor mounts are flexing or not aligned you have a wild helicopter on your hands. So I grabbed the Frame stiffern kit for that.
Also I am sure you guys have seen the new STILL cameras out that have build in stabilers, so you can move the camera while taking a pictures and it comes out clear, not blured. Any local circuit city can demo this for you. I am shopping for a small / light weight camera with a stabilier build in.
This will really help with still pictures for AP.
I wish I had my DF right now, but It is coming this week, along with the upgrades... I hate waiting....I always want things like yesterday...
