What to get to run in Mud?
Well my friend is looking to get into R/C's and can only spend $250. He wants somthing that can handle mud so what should he get?

for $250 you can't startup in nitro with anything decent. I'd reccomend to him to get a pede, balloon the RX and servo and get paddle tires. For the ESC maybe get one of those LRP waterproof ESC's and some cheap nimh bash packs and he should come in at around $250 if he sells the stock pede ESC. Then he should also gear it down a tooth or 2 since the stock gearing is rather high and offroad requires more torque and low end power. That should be it for a sweet mud bogging machine!

It will be real hard to do much with $250 even if you go electric after you get all your track equipment like battery charger. A decent battery charger is around $50 alone.
