At the present time i'm working on number 2 of 3 boomerang jets . the first came in at about 35 lbs. the owner tried to land on grass and ripped the gear out. after looking it over we decided that the gear rails were way to light for such a big plane. so i went ahead and opened up the second center section and made some much needed changes . i made a 3/8 thick 10-ply gear plate followed up with 1/2x1/2 bass tri-stock and hysoled it in here's some pics of what i came up with . we also went to robart 635 series and 4" wheels for Dreamworks . p.s. the glue shown in the pictures is factory glue, i put the tri-stock on the outside of the box because i felt that i wouldn't get a good bond because of the glue ,which by the way was kinda gummy . hope you can use this info , Warbird_1
