Use a heat gun to soften the glue, then peel them off. This will leave a sticky residue. Have fun trying to remove that I did it on my trailer and nothing seemed to remove the residue (without destroying the trailer). Monokote/Ultracote may let the residue come off more easily. Try a test piece if you can.

To wipe away the residue go to lowes or home depot and buy some "Goof-Off" they come in yellow cans about the size of shaving cream and a smaller bottle, this stuff will remove anything and I swear by it. It will usually be close to the paint isles. It is the best thing to use on any kind of covering such as Monokote or Ultra, just don’t use it on paint cause it will eat that like nothing.

Nope Goof-Off, just look for it you will find it in either of those stores. Its in a yelow metal canister you can't miss it. Goo-Gone is a different product and dosnt hold a candle to goof-off.
Here is a pick of it, though the new canisters are a liffle different looking: Same color etc can't miss it. I can't bieleve nobody uses this stuff it is THE BEST!
Heres a link also that shows it being used so you have a better idea http://www.sportsignage.com/Install.htm
EXCELLENT found the company homepage http://www.goof-off.com/

Goof-Off is just repackaged Xylene. (Xylol) You can buy a whole quart of Xylene for what a 4 ounce can of Goof-Off costs!!! Xylene has a myriad of uses----From thinning paint to being an octane booster in gasoline. Jeez...I've had waaaaaay too much chemistry when I was in school. I just thought I'd save all of you a little money!

On the Sukhoi, you dont need to do any of the heat gun stuff. Juust peel em away. Thats what I did on mine. After they are off, you can use the Goo Gone to get the residue off (there isnt that much). I think that the decals on the Sukhoi are not really vinyls, theyre somethin cheap that H9 came up with.

WD40
WD 40 or equivalent, sprayed on a tissue, laying over where the sticky goo is makes it wipeable in about two minutes. Never hurts finish, and doesn't take any heat.
You'd be amazed at what WD 40 can do...

I've found nothing that cleans better than Monokote Trim solvent.
I know it's expensive but when nothing else works try it. You will be amazed at the results.

I've always used plain old straight acetone for cleaning anything stubborn from monocote or ultracote. It will even remove cured CA, just put a little on a tissue and let it sit on the glue for a couple minutes and rub it off. I found that trick after a little mishap with CA hinges. Believe it or not, acetone won't hurt the covering, just follow up with your favorite polish or cleaner. If you don't have any acetone in the house you can also steal a little of your wife's fingernail polish remover, works just as good, (and usually smells a little better!).
