Sorry if this is covered elsewhere, but I tried some searches and found nothing. Does anyone know any about the aviation models Edge Pro. I thought it looked interesting.

I flew the avaition modles yak today and it flys awsome, saito 125. ys 11o would be better cause it weighs more better to balance the plane, anything lighter and u will be tail heavy. I have the edge but its not together so I think it will be like the yak, its fuse is 1 inch longer.

Chief is now selling (closeout) the Yak for $149.00 and the Edge for $129.00 plus shipping. I'm seriously considering either one but I only have an OS 91 Surpass or a Saito 150 I can come up with. Seems like one's too small and the other is too big![] Pretty good price though...

Default RE: Aviation Models Edge Pro?

Just flew mine for the this afternoon....Built it last night

Saito FA-100
Hitec 5475 all around
NiMh 2700 6.0V
Rocket city hardware (for 40%'ers - all I had)
Kevlar pull-pull
Futaba synthesized rec
etc
AUW: 7.5lbs minus 30% heli
________________________

It flys like a dream. A sturdy profile that can handle wind and loves to harrier roll all day (easy)
NO BAD HABITS - as long as CG is slightly aft
Dead sticks were a breeze
Little knife edge coupling - maybe wind related (12-19knt today).
Tracks like an arrow - very little trimming needed

Cons: No inst manual, must print from website, even then it's a waste of toner. Just plan the build before you begin. No holes on control surf were drilled (actually better that way)
EASY build. Don't use stock pull-pull cable, alum tubes for tank, control horns, push rods.

Got mine at Chief this week $149.00 + shipping

Thanks for the info. I think I am going electric with the one I have. Looks like the E Flight 60 BL will not have enough for the way over powered 3D I like with it being over 7 pounds. May put a Rimfire 50-65-450 on it.

Randy
