MVVS 6.5cc control line engine info?
Hi Dar and David,
Do any of you guys have any info on an MVVS 6.5 cc. front induction engine which has a 4 or 5 mm. venturi with Super Tiger type needle valve which is located at the back of the venturi--no spraybar?
The engine is several years old, but NIB and was shipped in the rear exhaust configuration. The papers with the engine give not a hint as to it's intended use or possible set-up.
I am told by the shop owner that the engine is was intended to be used for CL stunt with a tuned pipe, similiar to the PA and ROJett engines.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Jim Oliver

It is the Acrobat CL stunt. The Ventury is the spraybar and takes care of fuel distribution.
For RC work, the engine can also be retrofitted with a 3216 carb if you like to do so.

Jim,
The Akrobat is currently the 8.0 cc engine that you have new.
I don't know of any current 6.5 cc version of this same engine, although as Pe wrote, the 6.5 cc R/C engine cam be converted to C/L stunt, by utilizing the current Akrobat venturi and needle/nozzle items.

Thanks for the reply. This engine (6.5cc) has the CL venturi installed and is in rear exhaust configuration.
Do you know what pipe or muffler is correct for this engine to be used specifically for control line stunt?
Thanks,
Jim

Jim,
You would either want a #3254 GRR/Akrobat muffler, which is still on the MVVS web site (but I believe you received the last one they had...), or you will have to use a #3260 rear header and weld an aluminium can around it, with a suitable exit tube.
