Steering servo upgrade
I just upgraded my steering servo to a Hi-Tec HS-645MG and put the stock Sav X steering servo in the throttle spot. Fired it all up and noticed that my stering was reversed, right was left and left was right. I was pulling my hair out when I remembered the reverse switches on the Tx. I put the Steering switch to the N position and now its' working correctly again. My question is, did I do this the right way or is there a better way of doing this?

RE: Steering servo upgrade
Yeah, different brand servos operate in different directions. I believe Hi-tec and JR run in opposite directions, but Futaba runs in the same direction as Hitec. You did the correct action by using the servo reverse switch; the only other option would be to use a [link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0095p?FVSEARCH=servo+reverser&FVPROFIL=++&searc h3=Go]inline servo reverser[/link].

RE: Steering servo upgrade
Thanks for your inputs guys. Go figure I had everything set up nice today, went out for a bash and destroyed my stock Sav X TVP's. Same place as everyone elses. Right at the X under the engine plate exhaust side. Crumpled.
