Default brake linkage problem

ok i got a 1" extended chassis on my savage, and (i just got it brand new used yesterday lol) i got no brakes. so i pull the linkage all out and apart and try the brakes with a little rod to see if that was the problem (where you put the linkage into the hole and the tube thingy engages the brakes), yes. so now im trying to figure out how to fix it. any ideas? when the brake servo engages it doesnt pull it far enough to engage the brakes and i tried a bunch of stuff but just cant wrap my mind around what i should do (its prolly something simple) and im leaving for a trip tomorrow or tonight (weather permitting) and i really wanna take my new truck with me. any one else have that problem? (pics soon)

pics lol

Default RE: brake linkage problem

I read your post a couple of times. I am a little confused myself.
Did the breaks work when you pushed on the rod with the eyelet?
I don't get if the servo is not moving enough to engage the breaks, or if your linkage is just the wrong lenght.
It seems that if the linkage is through that hole thing, and the fuel tubing is on the other side, that the servo will piull the linkage and everything will be cool?

yeah the breaks engage when i push the eyelet thing, its just the servo doesnt move enought to engage the breaks,

and it kinda looks like that pic

Can you adjust the endpoints on your controller?
Add more fuel Tubing to the linkage, this will make it so the servo doesn't have to pull as much, it will engage quicker.
I wish i could see it in person, but i am trying to help as much as ican.

That linkage setup you have is never going to fully engage the brakes.
You need brake linkage part #86356
