Default 54" Super Stearman ???

I just got a nice 54" span Super Stearman from my father in law "who got it from the builder in a trade". It looks pretty good, it's been sitting around for a while. I'm trying to figure out if it's a Great planes model or not and what size engine I should use. I don't really want it for 3D or pattern. I just want it to have scale performance. I have a Super Tiger 90 ringed that I can use "I know that won't sound to scale but I would like to get it flying and avoid buying a motor for big$$$" I also have an OS 70fs. Do you think one of these engines would do it? Also any other thoughts would be great I want to get this plane flying-it looks to nice to just sit in the basement. Thanks Deltatech

Deltatech:
I just bought a second hand 66" WS Super Stearman (Midwest) and it flies great on a OS 91 Surpass. I didn't actually weigh it but feels about 11-12 lbs. Your OS 70 should fly the 54" WS with power to spare.
Just my $.02.

Happy Flying

Sorry I havn't gotten back to you guys sooner. I made a mistake in measuring and found that it's got a 65" top wing and 64" bottom wing - I know "BIG DIFFERANCE". The total wing area is 1270". The total weight with fuel tank,5 servos, battery, reciever and Super Tiger 90ringed is 10lbs. Sorry for the mistake in the wing span I know it makes a big differance in what model it may be and what size engine will work. Thanks again. Deltatech
p.s. I couldn't get any pic's my camera is acting up.

IF you go to midwest products' web site you will probably find the info you need. It must be their kit. I hope this helps.

Happy Flying
