RE: Rubber shock covers
I know they make cloth shock covers but I have never seen a rubber cover for the shaft. Correct me if I am wrong. They do have a rubber bumper stop on them.
Do they call shocks in the UK shockers? I know you call transmissions gearbox and gas petrol.

RE: Rubber shock covers
Well to get those you have to buy those shocks and I assure you if you do you will regret it. I will not run anything GPM! I do not KNOW of any one that sells just the rubbers by its self do you? My Hyper 8 came with rubbers like that. Now to your original question do you need them? It works now so know you do not need them would the rubbers be a good idea yes. Would I spend my money on those shocks defiantly not.
One other thing the STOCK shocks have rubber bumpers!

RE: Rubber shock covers
I bought HPI's aluminum shocks and they too came with the rubber shock boots, the only advice I would give is to make certain that when you put the clip that holds the spring you make sure that the boot goes through that and that you don't have it twisted at all cuz it will create a vacuum and it will stick to the rod making the shock not function too well. I am actually thinking of taking the boots off, it is just a pain cuz I would have to unscrew each shock, and I am lazy. The shock cover though is just for dust the rubber bumper stop is under the shock boot, which again causes the vacuum problem. I think I have convinced myself to take them off.
