controller problem

Default controller problem

hello guys, i have a HPI TF-4 radio controller from savage and bought a mt2 kit.why is it i can't use it with the mt2? do i need to change the crystal to my mt2? i got a futaba attack 2 which the mt2 works but i prefer using a gun type controller. please advice...thanks

Check to see what your TF4 is transmitting at (75Mhz, 40Mhz, etc.). Then check and see if your receiver is receiving on the same bandwidth (75MHz, 40Mhz, etc.). Also, both the TF4 and the receiver must be on the same modulation (both must be on FM or both must be on AM). If all of these match, then buy crystals with the desirded channel you wish to use them on.

From what you said, I'm assuming your Futaba is a stick radio. In this case, I don't think your Futaba receiver is compatible with your TF4 radio even if all of the above is in sync (I could be wrong, I'm not 100% sure). If this is the case, you will have to buy a receiver that is compatible with how your TF4 is set up. I would try to buy an HPI receiver that is set up to work with you TF4.
