this past friday i went to my first race at toys 4 big boys in san antonio, at first i wasnt sure if i was going to race or just check out how a race is run, i saw 2dmaxlst and talked for a bit then decided i wanted to race, so i unloaded my stuff and started practicing, my truck felt alright, not great, so i said what the hell and signed up, first qual. 2d had radio issues and didnt run so pited for me, some other trucks had issues and dropped out so there was about 6 of us, i ended up in 4th, not too bad, then at the end of the race i noticed my idle was super high after fidiling with the needles all night i found out after my 2nd qual. that i had stripped the servo horn on my throttle so i was out for the last qual. and the main, i stuck around for a while watching some more races then i took off, it was alot of fun and i cant wait for the next race which i think will be in 2 weeks, next week im heading to the track for some practice, here are a couple pics i took

nice revo and pics i might get a revo in x mas and in about a year when i start driving ill might starts racing it.

hey i saw u still had ure ez start on, ive seen many revo racer that take it off, does it still race well with it on cus i was thinking of leaving mine on.

id rather keep the simplness of the EZ start and the little bit of weight that comes with it then spend 130+ dollars on a starter box, its just too simple to get rid of

And where in texas do you live? Maybe we can race each other some time, since it seems we have equal driving skills

like i said i like the EZ start and unless it starts giving me alot of headaches, which it hasnt in the last year im keeping it,
on my revo i have

proline maxx rims and bowties
dx2
foc
hitech 5997 steering servo
proline steering arm
hitech 645 throttle servo
red pushrods
os .18tm

thats about it, although im looking to get

proline 1/2 offset wheels and mt bowties
23mm hubs
rpm axle carriers

thats about it i havent tried any weight shaving mods yet, ive been looking at the slayden mods over on the traxxas site im just unsure if i want to do them

hey i havent been to a race yet , i got a t-maxx with a 2.5 is there ne class for that ???

i have been thinking about maybe entering a race there next year, maybe the rcpro or something idk what the skill level of racers that attend that scale of a race though, im going to be practicing the rest of this year with 2d

2.5 flex- you can race in the mt class
