Default Are Upward Bent Rotors Bad?

Hi All,

I just received my board back from Spectrolutions. Evidently I did something so strange to my board on crashing that they couldn't fix it. They gave me a replacement instead. I have a question before I start flying again though. I noticed many of the rotors that came with my DF are bent quite a bit. Some are pretty straight, or have one side straight and one side bent. Does this affect the DF? Is there a way I should be going about striaghtening these rotors out before using them? I didn't really notice it having any affect but I'm still a beginner so who knows. It just seems like unless they straighten out when they start spinning, that the lift they're producing wouldnt be straight up.

Don't know how much it would affect the flight characteristics of your df. When I first got mine, the blades came out of the box with a really pronounced bend at one end. I used a heat gun to warm them up and bend them back into shape.

I got mine yesterday, and both the original blades and the blades in the repair kit are bent significantly. It flies fine, for the most part. When I ascend, it goes up really fast, then comes down fast. I have to go full throttle as it is coming down just to keep it from hitting the ground. It's a pretty strange occurance, but I don't think it's related to the bend rotor blades. In any case, I wouldn't go heating and shaping the blades until you've actually tried them as they are.

The expensive blades are generally reviewed as being much better (and worth the cost), if you're not sure.
