F4 Drogue Chute

RE: F4 Drogue Chute
I do have pictures, but please PM me for those.
Basic function is very simple: The door is "spring" loaded to the open position, and then locked closed. The small support chute ("drogue chute") is attached to the door. Once it pops open, airstream inflates the support chute, which then pulls the main chute ("drag chute") from its compartment. The main chute is attached to the airplane with a steel bolt in a mechanism that is very similar to the tow line release of sailplanes. The chute can thereby be released.
Hope this helps
Regards
Hank
