Steering
So I think I want to upgrade to get better steering because it keeps getting worse. Now the wheels hardly turn and I need at least a 30' clearance to get turned around.
Anyway, I'm looking at the Hitec 645, lots of forums say this is a good one. Is there anything I'm missing that I should know about not getting it.
But the real question I have is, I read somewhere something about the servo saver affecting steering. I looked in the manual and didn't say anything. Is there a way to tighten that spring or do something to it to improve steering, or did I misunderstand a previous post? It'd be great it the saver could help at least a little until I get a new servo, because like I said, steering really bites on my savage right now

RE: Steering
There are 4 plastic spacers in the steering assembly that can be upgraded to bearings (6x10x3), which will make a difference in how smooth and easy it is to turn. The servo is a good upgrade while you have things torn apart though. The Hitec 645 is perfectly fine for bashing, but you will want to keep an eye for something quicker and more powerful if you are doing any serious racing. Though pricey, I use the following:
