Don't waste your money on "shelf queen" wheels. 99.9% of ALL INFORMED racers use plastic wheels due to light weight, and the ability to return to shape after a hard hit. And if the hit is hard enough to break plastic, it would have bent aluminum.
Check out some mags like RC Driver....it's doubtful you'll ever see ANY aluminum wheels in any RACE COVERAGE....you will see them on the readers pics....but not in serious competition or bashing...

proline velocity and bowties are famous. my truck stands out very well with the yellow proline velocity's/bowties.
I got my alum. parts from the best, Unlimited engineering, great assembly, and few other ones. and those alum shocks with ***. shafts, running 4 of them with 70wt, they are flawless.

Ok, WEIGHT IS NOT EVERYTHING! And he isn't eaven racing. Do you think my revo is a shelf queen? i drive nearly every week all year wether its snowing or 100 out. Don't judge a book by its cover. thease are much stronger then stock wheeles, they add tons of stability, they do not noticabley have any side affects. They look great and are much better then plastic rims because if you want to change the tires, just put hte rims and tires in boiling water for 5 minets, and pull the tires off. some times you can eaven reuse the tires. Not to mention the have a lifetime garentie. Don't buy plastic, look at hte diference.

Lose the Caps man, that's the same as screaming, very rude. And try using a little punctuation, if you please, there are enough children in here that already ramble on through a post, and it usually takes another child to decipher the meaning...
Other than that, welcome aboard.

there goes scracing babbling on with his obsessed wheels once again.
the only thing I got from your post was
"they add tons of stability, they do not noticabley have any side affects."
the boiling technique is nothing special for alum rims. You can even bake them to get the wheels off.
They are stronger than stock, we can all see that.

Ok, coo
Anyways, other then those a good tuned pipe is your friend. They all work, i like tsais twin exhuast, adds some power. Vantage, trinity and THS also make great pipes for the 2.5 and 3.3. If you go any bigger then 3.3 you should get a jammin tuned pipe, jp-1 for bottem end, jp-2 for top end, and jp-3 for the best of both wrolds.

RE: The best aluminum parts to get?
Hi this is Rick from SPI Racing Wheels.
My wheels are NOT shelf queen. They are meant for racing. Heavy? I here to break the myths about my aluminum wheels.
25 grams more than plastic.
On a 65-70 second per lap track, same truck, same tires, same driver, we cut 6 second off the lap time. The cry babies tried to get the wheels out-lawed.
If you beleive in your product, you should stand behind it. Live time warranty, just like a Craftsman screwdriver.
I will send you a set of wheels, If they dont lower your lap times, send them back, If they do, You buy them.
Sound like a deal?
Thanks for your time.
Rick

Just wondering, why no to the deal? Free wheels to test. What if your truck does corner faster, is that bad? Racing is about new develoment, trying different things to go faster.

RE: The best aluminum parts to get?
Heavier....that will require MORE H/P tool spool up, and more brake energy applied sooner to slow down.....both of which do not add up to quicker lap times. Not to mention the increased number of pit stops required in an hour long race, due to the increased fuel consumption....
When I see them on some of the WINNING trucks at the "FARM," I'll consider some. Until then, plastic wheels by companies like Pro-Line are tried and proven.
