advice on 1/5 scale rc car

advice on 1/5 scale rc car
does anybody now anything on 1/5 scale cars?
advice on radio gear etc and where to get tyres from
and spare bodys please could someone help as i now nothing
im set it up with a nikko pistol grip transmitter which is out
off a 9.6 volt rc car and a sanwa receiver 27mhz band 4
will this be ok to use? as i dont want the car to lose signal
and smash to bits it has a zenoh 23cc engine i bet it
goes like stink lol

Well it sounds like alot of fun but i have no idea about those size cars. I hope you can find something about them. try a larger forum maybe.....?

I would junk the rado now and get a fm radio or pcm. you can't aford to loose a big car. parts are readily avaiable at brooklyn hobbies for most major brands,

I would not even dare putting a substandard radio on any true rc car, more so on a 1/5 scale.

Hi Dezodaz,
Always use a transmitter on the FM frequency for the 1:5 cars and combine it with a failsafe. Be sure to use strong servo's: for steering Hi-tec 5735MG and for the throttle/brake at least a Hi-Tec 945MG. The best tyres on the market are the PMT Kronos series.
