3W 55 CS
Am looking this engine over.Anyone have some realistic feedback on mounting and performance? in a 85 +/- inch 50cc airframe?
Looking for hard 3D in 16-18 pound range.

nitro, a buddy at the local field here has the 3w 55 in a Aviation Models Yak 54. It hauls his plane around great. Its getting stronger and stronger every time he comes out to the field. Should haul your plane around with no problems.

RE: 3W 55 CS
Thanks
I dont have a plane or that engine, but thinking of getting the Aeroworks 50cc Yak,which apparently can weigh a little more than they claim,or possibly another airframe.Seems many are using a DA 50,but I am not sure if it will do the trick if I get into a 87 inch 17 pound plane.I am assuming that that 3W55 would outrun the DA by far.

I'm using a 3-w 55 in a Yak by Lanier. If you go that route make sure you get the mounting plate from bobby. Call me and I walk you thru thr mounting. Dennis 270-783-4004

You might want to look at the Brillelli 366GT, I don't have one and have never seen one, but what I have read, it will turn a Xoar 23x8 prop at 7300 RPM and all up weight including muffler and ignition is 68 ounces, on paper it sounds very good. There are a couple threads already on it if you do a search
