G45
I have a G45 that I bought from Indy RC before they closed. I think it was around 1997.
This engine has Toni Clark molded on the crankcase.
Is this a Toni Clark special or do all G45's have this crankcase?

RE: G45
Toni Clark is the German importer..He designed the G45 using parts from the Red Max 45cc chainsaw...The carb, mag, prop hub, and mount are the same parts as used on the the G62...He had the case made so his name is on it...They all say Toni Clark on the case...
There is no other G45....
They run great but heavy compared to other 45cc engines, I can't get the weight a whole lot less than a G62 lite....
The crank is the only small airplane engine crank made the right way, it's a two piece with the larger output end with the taper for the prop hub and rod end made from one piece, pressed on to the rear piece...Harder to twist than others made from 3 pieces, the smaller taper output end and rear end pressed on to the center...
