What prop do you use?
I will install an OS 55 AX with an 11x8 MA prop.
Also,
do you know the capacity of the tank?

I'm using a 10X7. The 55AX 11X8 combo will make it rock.
The tank is quite small no more than 200 or 220 cc. Barely enough for an 8-10 minute flight so with a 55AX better look for a bigger replacement .
Keep us updated.

IMO the induced loads which will occur manoeuvering at the speeds the power of the 55AX should produce will approach the structural limit for this model without beefing up the h/stab.

I'll confirm the supplied tank is tiny as kqutob says. Its miinute capacity and the tiny tankspace a PITA. Without surgery, you will need to find a tank of longer length to get greater capacity. I'm out of fuel (deadstick) in 8 minutes using a TT46 turning an APC 10x7. .46 SF the same.

Yes, I really do have a Seagull PC-9. [sm=regular_smile.gif] Two now in fact.

Here are a series of pics of PC-9 #1 taken approximately 2 years ago. It still looks very much the same sans a few missing blue stars from the fin and rudder on the port side due efflux of hot exhausted synthetic oil residue. Initially powered by an inverted O.S. .46SF ABC (in pictures) it has since been re-engined with a TT PRO .46. The SF had sufficient power, although the TT has more. Not what we'd call unlimited vertical in RC, but sufficient to perform a decent looking Top Hat with 10% nitro @ QFE MSL ISA+20C.

For the manner in which I like to fly it, I found an APC 10 X 7 made the most favourable marriage between airframe, .46 engine and my desired operational envelope. This particular example has circa 800 flights logged now. You really won't want Seagull's PC-9 to end up heavier than 2.8KG dry regardless of powerplant. Ideally 2.5kg would be optimum, but in the many examples I've seen, it'd require serious surgery to achieve. A more realistic operational target with a typical .46 inc supplied silencer is 2.65 to 2.75KG @ ZFW.

OUOOOOOOOOOOOOU

Your plane is so beutiful.......i like it so much.
i will order mine maybe next week or so,so i will post MY pics...
Anyway,
i have another question.
The canopy was glued in place?
Because i will install a 2nd pilot so as to be more realistic.
As you know the scale aerplane that uses the RAAF is a trainer for them.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon,
Kostas

Hi Kostas

No. The canopy is secured in place with matching red PVC electrical tape. Can be easily removed and refastened to put another pilot in the rear seat position if you wish.

Not really. The model is decorated in the colour scheme of the R.A.A.F.'s "Roulettes" display team. Except for the occasional PR pax or photo op freeloader, they are normally operated one up from the front seat both during display and practice. 2FTS based at Pearce near Perth in Western Australia also operate their PC-9s in the same general red and white colour scheme now, but without the Roulettes' signature blue Southern Cross stars and red "R" on the tail which is replaced by the 2FTS squadron crest on the fin (see pics).

Yes,
thank you!!!!!!
Also,
i will refasten the canopy with SHCS's #2-3/8.
I don't like gluing the canopy.
