Throttle return spring
Well I didn't have the kind of plug I need to charge my receiver pack, so I changed it to deans. But I am worried that my crappy solding job will fail, meaning a wire will pop off. So I want to get a throttle return spring. I have a failsafe, but I want the extra protection. This is a t-maxx. Also, I installed one of my spektrum servos, and it was really glitchy and the failsafe was always on. Is that because of my junk soldering job?
THanks

RE: Throttle return spring
Could be, yes.
It could be causing interference or a false low voltage reading. Personally, I don't think a deans plug is the best choice for an rx pack. First it's a big plug, second it's not really high current application.
I would go ahead and get a trs. Never hurts to cya a bit.

RE: Throttle return spring
Are there any trs's that would work better? Or does just about any of them work? A link to tower would be great.
Also, this probably sounds super-noob, but I haven't had a nitro in 4 months, and I forgot how to tune it, and I don't have the dvd because I got it used. Is it:
Turn left on hsn or lsn = richen?
Turn right on hsn or lsn = lean?
And on the idle, isn't it left to idle down and right to idle up. I'm talking about which way you turn the screwdriver.
Thanks a bunch.

RE: Throttle return spring
Clockwise = lean
Counter clockwise = rich
On all needles.
This should help with your tuning.
Factory settings;

Tuning instructions;

Good tuning videos (They're for a Savage25 but 95% of these engines tune just the same).

If those don't work just go to YouTube and do a search for "rc tuning" or "nitro rc tuning"
Easy to find and very helpful.

RE: Throttle return spring
Thanks I got it working good, but I am suprised what a difference a glow plug can make. It had an lc3 os glow plug, and it would barely start and always shut off. I put in one of my mc59 glow plugs and it fired up immediately and it drove better cold than the lc3 did warm.
