What kind of car jumps the best? Stadium, Monster or Buggy
I am looking at upgrading. Presently have a nitro sport. My boys and I only bash...and bash we do. We like jumps. What type of truck jumps the best..meaning what truck is it easiest to make land on the wheels instead of the roof?

I've run all kinds of RCs and I think that 1/10th stadium trucks jump the best. Of course, this is just my personal opinion - definitely not a right or wrong answer.
It just seems like stadium trucks are relatively light weight, have a wide stance, and feature a fairly low center of gravity. All these things combine to make for some good high-flying bash sessions. Monster trucks are pretty good too though, and I have a lot of fun jumping mine.

i believe it is the driver that makes the jump, not the truck, so many different thigs effect the vehichle in mid air, only really controlable thing is gas and brakes

From my experience buggies jump the best, but monster trucks land best. Stadium truck are a good mix.

LOL, TEX probably has. He has a pretty big collection....
I think he means the stampede would be suitable for durability and unskilled jumping. A buggy will jump better, but is more likely to break and needs more skill.

1/8 buggy hands down. Monster trucks are just way heavy and since everything is larger it puts more stress on any given part when it lands wrong(ie: a arms) and stadium trucks strike me as kind of brittle and won't take to bad landings well... but I haven't driven one myself so I can't comment on that.
I've done some pretty stupid stuff with my buggies and never had any big problems except one manufacturing flaw(shock bore slightly too large... causing bent shock shafts easily) and one $8 broken part(was plastic, the $8 upgraded to aluminum). Even when the front lower a arm mount cracked, the buggy still drove pretty well and should have lasted a few more good jumps.
All the monster truck guys break crap left and right just doing normal bashing... if you buy a good buggy that is known for strength(Hyper 7 and 8 come to mind) you shouldn't have to upgrade much if anything at all.
Here are a few shorts of my Hyper 7 before I sold it(for a Hyper 8)...

If you plan on getting something just for the sake of jumping high... a buggy is definitely your best bet. My Hyper 8 doesn't do that crap anymore since I strictly race it, but it's taken some nasty spills at the track. It's done countless lawn-darts onto wooden barriers after jumping a 25ft table-top(4ft high.. the buggy probably gets 12-15ft of air), hit numerous objects, and driven away from it all unphased.
I even had a dead reciever battery so it went WOT into a couple curbs, a garden, then a side of a house, and my dad's ladder with the only thing gone wrong being the front shock popped off of the ball-stud mount on the shock tower. A 3sec fix. One reason why I don't play around with it off of the track anymore[&:]

I think buggies and truggies can be more stable and jump longer and higher . But the driver has a lot to do with it . You can have a not so good driver with a fast buggy and a great driver with a monster truck and the MT will out jump the buggy . How you approach a jump and exit a jump has a big difference along with actions made while in mid air so you land it correctly. I don`t think one can be better over the other with good driving . If you ever ran a dirtbike on a motocross track you would know what I mean . That is the best comparison I can compare a rc to . That is my perspective on the topic , some may agree ond disagree .

Truggies tend to have longer A-arms so I would suspect that added leverage would make them more likely to break in the event of a bad landing.
Get a buggy.

RE: What kind of car jumps the best? Stadium, Monster or Buggy
stadium truck and buggies are easier to jump to me, a monster truck is more of a challenge. And it seems to me that a monster truck breaks stuff alot easier on bad landing, although i have seen them take some rough landings with stride.
