I just got my g20 in the mail, I know not too smart =). I have narrowed
down to two choices what I am thinking of using it for:

The .60-.90 size Great Planes Stik

the 65" Giles

Have been flying a .40 Stik and Pulse for about a year. BTW - This will is
my first gas plane, your thoughts?

If anyone has other suggestions, please feel free, I am still open.

As a first gas model, I would be inclined to go with the GP Stik which is known for it's rugged construction and excellent flight performance. I used a GP Big Stick as the test bed for my EI G23 which proved to be a great flying combo.

The .60 size GP Big Stik is a large model for a .60 sized plane. It should take the G20 with no problem whatsoever.

I bought one to use with my BME G90 conversion. Now I'm wondering if that engine will have sufficient power to make it fly as I want. I'm tempted to just fit it up with a BCMAE SPE 26cc conversion I have. Believe me, it will not be out of place on this model (over a thousand square inches wing area, IIRC).

Thanks guys, looks like I will be going for the Stik, I appreciate the feedback. As an owner of the smaller stik, I kinda feel the same way, not just too crazy of how it looks. Due to the engine weight and additional vibration the gas engines produce, did anyone have any structural issues when converted to Gas power? Because it's an ARF, reinforcing the firewall would mean major surgery towards the nose of the plane, just wanted to know if this will pose as a potential problem. Again, thanks for the advice.

I've seen a large stick running on a gasser (though, not the G20 specifically), and the plane seems to hold up fine. While I haven't specifically asked, I know that particular modeler well enough to know there's not a snowball's chance in Tahiti that he "strengthened" anything...in fact, there's probably some question about whether he even GLUED anything.

Before going to gas I powered my Stick with an ASP 75 up front and it's performance was great. I don't think the BME 90 should have any problems flying it with authority.
