Default BME G90

For some reason when I put BME in the forum search, it tells me, "The System Could not find any record." Even though I can see a few threads with BME right in the title.

Is anyone running this engine? I'm considering it as a powerplant for my 70" Hawker Hurricane. The plane should be around 12lbs all up. It's supposed to have a .70-.90 4-stroke glow engine in it.

Does this sound like a glow engine? I see it's rated at 14,000 RPM. That's buzzing up pretty high.

Thanks,

-Joe

This is a Supertigre .90 two stroke (glow fuel), converted to run petroleum (gas) and sold by BME

Here is a link to info on the engine: http://www.bmeengine.com/html/point90.htm

Arobatx: thanks for the info. That's where I learned about the engine. I'm trying to find user's experiences with it - like does it have enough power to fly this sort of model, what does it sound like, is it dependable, etc - and have been unable to find much, and this board's search engine has been useless.

Great, thanks. I wonder why my search turned up no results? I tried putting in "BME", "G90", "BME G90" and searching "ALL FORUMS", but still zero results came up.

Weird.

Be patient and keep reading....as with many longer threads things get off topic a bit, but there is good information in there, you will find what you are looking for in there!
