Will these parts increase power, accel, or both?
I have a .15 SS, I'm planning on putting it on my SNR, but before I do I'm planning on looking into buying a new flywheel. Will a light weight flywheel increase power, acceleration or both? I also plan on buying a racing clutch since I think the one on my SS is about to give out. Same question as before but for the racing clutch.

i lighter flywheel will give you quicker throttle responce. and maybe a little top end. as for the clutch, i use a t-maxx cluth with a 2 post flywheel. they never fail, and they're cheap.

HPI makes a decent racing clutch (hpi part #A885), as well as Kyosho. I would stay away from the shoe type (as in hpi #A886)

Flywheel might increase speed a little but it wouldn't be a huge difference. The clutch on the other hand will. The clutch was the first thing I upgraded since it was so cheap. I use HPI's racing clutch and I am more than happy with it. Great throttle responce and even a pretty decent amout of increased speed. I don't know about the rest since I've never used them (I was happy with HPI's) but HPI's has 4 levels. I don't know if you've ever seen them but they have 3 hole on each shoe and you can't cut them in 3 different spots depending on your set-up. I eventually bought 4 of them so I could have an un-cut clutch and then 3 cut clutchs each in a different level. I use the second stage (1 cut) for street use and dicking around. If you haven't seen HPI's clutch's you can see both an assembled view and a "taken apart" view here www.hpiracing.com Click on "english" unless you speak more than one language...click on "option parts" in the left column of the screen...go to "nitro accessories" and look for part#A885 it's almost at the bottom so keep scrolling.
There are only 3 parts to the racing clutch (2 shoes and a spring that wraps around and hooks to hold the 2 shoes togethter) I love HPI's because they take like 2 seconds to change and you just slip the other one on! I hope this helped. Do a search for more info and maybe you can find one that better suits your set-up. Good luck and have fun!

NopistonRX7,
I too use the HPI racing clutch in my Rushes. I have it set on the middle holes with the rest of the shoe cut off. I junked that garter spring in favor of a neoprene "O" ring. Works great!! That clutch is pretty much "bulletproof".

Get the HPI aluminum flywheel A801. It's only about $8.00. The racing clutch A885 works well with it. Don't forget to get the flywheel collet about $2.00

The parts you listed are what you need. Just make sure that the flywheel size (i.e. p/s or n/p) is proper for your application. You can use the different holes on the clutch to much the engage time to your liking. You can also try different spring tensions to adjust the clutch.
Have not tried the o-ring...well, will never try the o-ring as I use centax clutch now.
Krusty - did you buy the o-rin at your LHS? Who makes them. Wanting the info for future reference.

I have the same engine as you the HPI .15ss in my RS4 3. I melted the OG clutch that came with the RTR engine. I'd have to say its pretty fun scraping off a melted clutch I bought the HPI racing clutch and now its strong, fast, and I don't smell plastic burning anymore

Ahhh
I was choosing between the dynamite and the RC10GT pipe... I went with RC10GT becuase it wasn't black... What looked polised on the computer screen turned out to be more of a Puter... Reguardless, I'm very happy with it...

It works for me as you can see Im going for the black and purple look. The pipe actually performs incrediable compared to that plastic thing HPI calls a tuned pipe that comes with the kit.

Humboldtblazer: have you ran that car yet? If you have great job on cleaning your car. I hate it when people don't take care of thier stuff. I see young kids come in the hobby store all the time, and plop their grease ball of a car on the counter and say "can you fix this?" then you have to clean the whole car just to see if anything isn't the way it should be. I clean my car after driving session. Well not the spots that don't need it but I can't stand a gross car. Beside all that excess grease and dirt helps insulate all that engine heat and doesn't allow the engine to breathe. Propz on one nice looking ride!
