Default Lightning II

Finished my second Lightning over the last couple of days. Put four good test flights on it ... here are some pics. This paint scheme looks very good in the air ....

If you are building a Lightning, I have kept notes of lessons learned and manual addendums from the two builds and would be happy to email you a copy. Also have a copy of a weight and balance spreadsheet and modified throw settings that I use.

With balance weight and residual fuel, it came up at 38 pounds. It would be lighter but for the heavy cockpit and pilot. I have a Rhino in it.

I'll include a few pictures of the install. I did leave room to add the auxillary fuel tank under the deck and behind the component board if I decide to add a smoke system. I think I would put the pump and batteries on a platform that sticks out into the nose, so I could eliminate some of the ballast weight. Would keep the additional load of smoke equipment to a minimum.
