Hi there :)
I there I'm new and been didin't know there was so much info on the DF...this site is a great resource
I have a couple of questions on the Dragan flyer and all the differnt setups I see on here.
I would like to buy a DF for mostly property videos. I'm totaly new to rc helicopters but not new to RC as I have experience with cars. I am a good fabricator too so modding *stuff* is not a problem.
-I see many using pentax pont and shoot cameras...are you using this for video as well?
-Would buying a cheaper vti pro and set up your own camera be a better option then buying SAVS?
-If you say buy SAVS...is that camera and quality as good as they show on the videos onthe dragan flyer site or you guys would liek better?
Thanks for the info

RE: Hi there :)
Hi there Ketchup,
- I have tried canon cameras as well, it is my intention to use the Pentax (new S7) for both stills and video.
- That is the path I took as I just started out and wanted to see how far I was going to go, however I might get a small wireless camera as well. The SAV takes care of a lot of issues like vibration and noise in the video. I think it is a matter of opinion and budget. This is a good hobby to get into if you like to mod stuff.
- I like the stuff that I have seen here, Skyhigh and some other have done some pretty smooth videos. Check out slcity.com . I think they do run the video through some stabilization software to smooth out some of the bouncing but the SAV has taken care of a high frequency vibration (and electronic noise) that is apparent in other solutions.

RE: Hi there :)
Well not really, I purchased the regular DF Ti then added the frame bracing (I have two DFs now - the second was purchased in bits and peices). The pro comes with a camera and software for training in addition to the frame bracing (not sure what else is different). The boards are identical.
