brison 5.8 prop info
I have a new to me brison 5.8 and need prop suggestions info. I am thinking of trying the menz 26 x 10 or 26 x 8 standard prop. I am at 800 ft above sea level in Knoxville, Tn. and would like to turn about 6800 to 7000 rpm. This engine is now pulling a mesjetik 28 x 10 cf at 6000. But I am told this is a very effecent narrow body prop, and that I will lose rpm going to wood. Can anyone shed some light on my situation?
Thanks,

RE: brison 5.8 prop info
On my brison 5.8 I ran a mejzlik 26x10, a 28x10 is too much prop for the motor IMO. The 26x10 will turn mid to upper 6K range and put you in the horsepower band a lot more than the higher load 28x10. I would recommend a good 26x10 whether it be mejzlik, PT, etc.
