Default How can I make my exhaust emit deafening noise?

My neighbors, the Andersons, used to run their quads around my house and my parents were asking me if there was any way I could make my RC car loud enough to get double revenge, I have a Losi Muggy, I know HPI rippled pipes are loud but I was looking for something like a trumpet on the exhaust, any ideas?

Just run the header pipe with a megaphone tip ..maybe use an old metal oil funel on the end... That'll bump it up a few DB's

I was also wondering if I could make flames or sparks come out of the exhaust, that would be cool.

Sure can.. Tap the header pipe for a glow plug. Use and on board batery and extra CH. to light the plug when you want.. The fuel fumes should re-ingnite when they hit the hot glow plug... Just remmber that glow fuel burns clear or blue so you might not see it well.. Plus it is a major safety hazzard for you and your car so you didn't hear it from me

That kind of sounds like lighting a fart, what if all the fumes ignite and the whole pipe explodes? I think I'll use an Estes model rocket ignitor rather than a glow plug.

I think you would have better luck with a smoke system.. Its easy to make and cheap... You'll need an extra fuel tank a small pump -- old 6volt windshield wiper pump works great -- A 6volt battery , Pipe pressure tap/fitting and some car anti frezze Green Preston works the best, Extra servo with presure switch

1. Tap the header pipe for the pressue tap as close to the motor as you can
2. Mount the extra tank
3. Run some fuel line from the tank to the pump to the presure tap.
4. Hook up and old RC car pack --6volt-- the the pump
5. Wire the presure switch in line from the battery to the pump
6. Mount the servo to the presue switch so that the servo arm pushes the switch on or off -- make sure you can turn the pump on and off with this set up
7. fill the tank with anit frezze
8. get the motor nice and warm/hot
9. hit the switch to turn on the pump

LOOK OUT!!!! more smoke than you can imagine... Plus it smells like hell as well

Hey if you want to get into some real trouble you can do this on a real car as well.. Just run the hose to the exhust... Total smoke screen.. 007 style.....Have fun[8D]

how about towing a speaker system behind your car pumping out some hard core death metal.

but your car gets pretty load withouth the pipe on but your engine can over heat very easily

See if you can use a MIP Stinger Pipe, I used this for for my RC10GT, made it sounded like 2 stroke dirt bike.

Leave the header on but take off the pipe...it will sound nice...and super annoying...will affect your performance though.

All he needs to do then is to vent the fuel tank instead of pressurizing it and readjust his carb. Probably have to richen it to bring it back to the right mixture.

Someone else also suggested a megaphone. Perhaps he can cut off the wide end of an old tuned pipe at the end of the taper to create a megaphone.
