Default 7'' gearing

I run 7'' tires with 14/52 though a 3spd with a .28 but this is a low gear combo really low, to low in fact and I want something a little highter I was wandering if 14/48, 16/48, 16/52 would mesh? I was going to buy 16t cb and a 48t spur but will thay all mesh to gether and if not what will? and I don't want any thing to tall like 18/46 with 7'' tires.

I would probably try the 16/49 first, since I like as much "punch" as possible without going overboard. Depending on which .28 you have, you might even want to try a 17T bell.

It's an lrp z.28 spec 2, three shoe aluminum clutch, aluminum tuned pipe, and high flow air filter. I want some new gears because there is just to much punch. so will 14/49, 16/52 mesh?

Thanks -someguy- that chart is great, ok the gearing I'm going to get is a 16t cb and a 49t spur like chronic said, for combos like 14/52, 16/52, 16/49 now what brand and what kind. What about cb bearings?

That spec 2 will handle those tires with a 17T bell. I was running that engine with a 3 speed, 17/49, and 6.5" tires. It was a wheelie monster and the topend was just crazy. You are really going to see something out of that engine once you get it geared right.
