Default txt axles

i am looking to build an rc crawler and at first was going to use tlt-1 axles but when i realized how narrow they were i decided on txt axles but i dont want to buy a whole truck and i dont want to use clod axles. i thought i could just buy aftermarket axles but it would be cheaper to build stock axles and upgrade them from their.

If your wanting a 2.2 crawler the TLT axles are fine. If your wanting a super, the TXT axles will work OK, but the super class is dominated by the Clod.

Last year at the Nat's, Of the entire Super field there was only 1 for sure, maybe 2 total in the entire field. None in the top ten I don't think.

Top 5 were all Clod for sure.

TXT is very scale though, it'd make a good looker and basher.

No, Ralph started w/ TLT and is now using WK axles.

His Scorpion uses TXT axles.

im not looking to build a super truck because i live along way from any events we have but i did want some axles that were slightly wider than the ones on the tlt-1 for stabillity and the fact that icould make the truck look more scale and run a stampede tranny instead of having to go through all of the extra expense of buying two of everything motors, pinions and so on but my main question has not been answered i still need to know what the parts bags are be cause i would rather not spend my money on 400 dollar aluminum txt-1 axles because idont need them

Not sure on the TXT as I stated, they are not very popular.

You can pick up the ENTIRE TLT kit for $70.00 from www.ultimatehobbies.com

Also, several companys offer wideners kits for under $25.00.

Here is a shot of my 1/10 scale CJ8 w/ TLT axles.

All you really use is the axles and misc. hardware from the TLT kit.

But the TLT fit perfectly under a 1/10 build.

another reason i want to run txt axles is that rc4wd makes a set of portal boxes that replace the txt1 knuckles and give almost an extra inch of ground clearance

They also build them for the TLT axles!
