Default diff cups

when you do your diff's do you fill them with oil or just put a good amount

I have 30k

I fill mine about 75% full with 7K. You must leave SOME room for heat expansion.

well I got the oil a good while ago and all I have is 30 k and it seems stiff

i run 30k in the rear and 10k in front. don't [ut 30k in both. i would put it in the back and use a lighter fluid in the front, like 10k or 7k

I have the same setup as ben 10k front and 30k rear. I filled mine full though Ill prob end up draining a little lol whoops.

ahhhhhh man im already done.........

I hade the whole thing apart to fix all my damage and its all back together again do I really need to change it ?

changed mt tires back to 5" instead of the 7" ten pounders changed clutch bell readjusted shift points on 2nd and 3rd put heavy duty dogbones in front centre left and right also had to put in new bevel gear 13 and 43 tooth and replace stripped set screw (pain in the butt)

when you are doing the diffs mistake me if i am wrong but u need to take the front end and rear end off and then take the shock towers off to get inside of the differential right ?

pretty much but I think in order its like take of front and rear then skid plates (bumper) seperate first casing then remove shock towers then seperat last casing and remove diff there is 4 screws to remove but by hand this takes forever clean and fill them up .....I guess 75%

o ya I guess I should have said after removing the skidplates pull out the four pins to remove the arms

If you have the savage x its alot eaiser just take off the 4 screws on back and two on bottom. I pull the upper arm pins out and then slide the back side of the diff housing off and pull the diff out. easy . It took me 4 hours to do both my diffs though beacause I had to degrease them since they came pregreased for the x-ss kit then reassemble and put oil in. If you wanna run 30k in front and back its fine your turning wont be as good though because your diffs will be working at the same speed. Try it see if you like it if not you can always change.
