how are you adjusting them from underneath the chassis? there is no way to do this, it is possible that maybe your 2 speed got a tiny pebble in the, the first thing you should do EVERY TIME YOU HAVE A PROBLEM is investigate it yourself, it will not only save you time, buit frustration, so i suggest taking your tranny out and making sure everything is there, clean it, and threadlock the set screws that should be threadlocked, if something is not ther or is damaged then there is the likely cause of the problem, im not trying to be offensive either but use common sense when dealing with things, your transmitter has nothing at all to do with the 2 speed, the one thing that comes to mind is tuning, you cant leave your car for a month, start it up again and have the tuning spot on, you have to tune it every time you get it out, if it was out of tune, no matter what you try, you probably couldnt get it to shift, just some helpful insight

but i dont know how 2 take apart the tranny so its hard 2 play with it, and im scared 2 take **** apart and ont know how to put it back, and i have no ide were my instructions are!!! so i knwo what ur saying, and i tried investing, but its kinda hard, but ok.. ad obviously u can adjust how soon the 2nd gear goes in, its from underneath the chasis, i jsut did it, dont tell me cant do it, lol, CUZ CLEARLY I JUST ADJUSTED IT! wow, liek do u have an rs4.. look underneath... and theres gears.. u trun u find a hoole.. stick ur allen key in there, and u can tune.. the more turns out the sooner ur 1st gear will change to 2nd! so dont tell me thats not possible, cuz so many people have already told me that, and i saw it in the instuction manual onnline HPI!...

download a manual from hpi's website, the only way to fully diagnose a problem is to take it apart, you will ahve to do it sooner or later so its not that big of a deal, i got to know my rs4 so well that i didnt even need instructions, if you are afraid to take it apart then you dont need to own an rc, and i just realized how to adjust from under the chassis, my bad, i wasnt thinking

make sure you were adjusting the correct screw

Also, you could try taking the adjuster screw out and making sure nothing is gummed up or broke

Rather than taking the entire car apart to get at the trans, you might be able to just take off the top cover (and anything associated to it) and gain full access to the trans and adjuster

1 last thing..I was looking at the EVO manual and didn't really see what I was looking for...if you're still confused, check out 18ss manual (being as this is a kit car it should help w/ the assemble/disassemble of the car)

I basicly said the same things in the other forum http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_53..._2/key_/tm.htm

Even better http://hpiracing.com/graphics/instr/n3ss/kn3_09.jpg

The 12r ss manual is even better and you dont have to wait for the adobe to load. Trust me. taking apart the trans should only take 30min at the most. SERIOUSLY i can rebuild a trans in 8-10 min. just remember to take it apart someplace where you can see all the parts and so you dont lose anything. and yes your gonna have to take it apart sooner or later.

Hey apollo... you seriously didnt know you could change the shift point from up under?? heh heh heh sorry just givin you crap :P

OMG people i just wasnt thinking also MAKE SURE its the right screw you are adjusting like they have already said, my tip is to threadlock the set screw on that holds it to the shaft, and then threadlock your shift screw so it doesnt back out, i threadlocked mine at like 3.5 turns out and it shifted perfectly for at least 5 monhs after that, til i sold it
