Of these choices, I personally would choose the Mugen. Mugen vehicles are definitely race grade and are built to very precise manufacturing standards and material quality. Also, the designs of Mugen in general are very well thought out. Of course, Mugens will generally also cost more.

RE: A Question Of Best...
All mugens in general in accordance of the application. The MTX-4 is a great on-road racer. The MTX-5 is a cut above from what I have seen. I have run with a -4 before, but it was not mine so I by all means do not have extensive experience with it. But for the few brief laps I ran the -4, it was likke silk as compared to my HPI R40. A very refined car indeed. Now, the -5, I rn aganinst them and was totally spanked by all of the -5's on the track. They can corner like a nible cheetah when they have their suspensions tuned in correctly. I never actually dorve a -5 so I do not have any first haned experiences. Basically, all the on-road guys at my local track dumped their -4's onto E-Bay and bougt -5s.
As far as off-road, the MBX-5 is what I am referring to. I say ingeneral Mugens aer good vehicles, but since I do not race off-road, I am only speaking in second hand and that is why I do not speak in absolutes (i.e. "all Mugens..." "every time with a Mugen..." etc.). Mugen has been in the business of racing and I therefore put my faith in them to build quality racie grade vehicles. As far as the MBX-5 being hard to steer and for the maintenance headaches, I do not know first hand so I cannot speak in any terms of absolutes.
