A new Fusion is born!
Just wanted to pass along a couple pics of my new Fusion.....
Kit build was awesome...
Used monokote for the covering..
Was my first kit and first covering.. came out quite well...
The pictures will show where the idea came for the scheme....
That is my other plane! 40% Carden Aircraft Extra 330s
Haven't taken a picture with the two next to each other yet... but I will
Now about the maiden yesterday....
Brand new Saito .82 up front... ran a few tanks through to break it in and then sent the plane up for a couple flights with the engine still quite rich.
WOW.... It flies wonderfully!! If you are thinking about a Fusion, DO IT!
I have flown several profiles and bigger stuff too and this thing is awesome...... Tracks great... I fly IMAC so I thought I would see how this thing would fly the pattern.. and it really flew it nicely.. Axial rolls, great straight lines...perfect uplines very nice...
Then I flipped to high rates and great rolling harriers, nice waterfalls... and it locks in sooooo nicely in a hover...
Then I thought I would start working on some mixing......
Tossed it into a knife edge and waited for the roll coupling to start so I could mix that out....and waited.......and waited...
NONE, there was NO roll coupling.....
pulled a perfect knife edge loop and it just stayed!!!
need just a scosh of down elevator, but only about 1.5 or 2%....
Very nice... Yes.. I'm happy......
This looks like one of the best smaller planes I have flown......
A winner!
I took pics through the whole build so I will put together a detailed build thread when I have the time......
Thanks for letting me babble... no go buy your Fusion!!!

RE: A new Fusion is born!
the 82 is awesome.....
AUW is 4' 15oz so it still flies great on the wing.....
the engine is still new and in the break in period, so I didn't push it hard... but LOTS of power and the low idle of a four stroke is great........
the mid range torque makes 3d a bit nicer too....
I have a 2 stroke on my other profile (Katana) and it is great...but nothing beats the 4 stroke mid range grunt.....
Mike, you done good!

You speak the truth my friend. KE any speed -- zero coupling! How did OMP do that?

Actually there are nanites embedded in the cf beams that interact with the rx signals.

Where might one acquire these "nanites"? I have a whole garage full of model's that may benefit from these.
Great job on your Fusion exeter!

Thanks...
Hmmmm.. when I turned it on...I did hear a buzzing... I just thought that was the sound of the digital servos... but now I know the truth!

I gotta admit...I really like flying this plane. I doing my first "rolling harriers" with it. It's super easy to hover and does great waterfalls, KE, rolling circles, and a prettty decent flat spin. It's fun to fly.
Thanks
Barry

Awesome Barry! Be sure to post those pics up in the Fusion gallery in the OMP support forum above. Isn't it great to mix up nice clean rolling circles with 3d![8D]
