Default Fixing Fuel Soaked Wood

I've read a few articles about glow fuel removal from balsa - ranging from heating up the bare wood with an iron and having strips of brown paper bag between the iron and the wood to using corn startch and alcohol mix and putting the stuff on the wood.

Do these techniques work with Kerosene? What's a better way to get kerosene soaked wood "un-soaked"?

Thanks in advance.

Use K2R spot remover. Spray it on. Brush, blow or wipe off when it turns to a power. Kinda messy...but works.

I use cellulose thinners brushed on thickly followed by talcum powder. Use a vacuum cleaner.

Repeat as required.

Very cool, thanks guys. I'll report how it went. I'm using kitty litter inside the fuse right now where there looks to have been the source as some have said it sucks out the oil also. When I get back from getting the K2R I'll brush all that out and go with the aggressive route.

Just make sure that there is no 'granola' in the litter otherwise it will reduce it's effectiveness. I have a dog so fortunately I don't have to worry about that.
