HI I have a losi 8ight I wanna get it out and break it in this weekend. I live in north Indiana and it's just start to get warm. My question is with the ground being a bit soggy still. Would i be ok to run this nitro buggy in my soggy yard without damaging something?

Yes, but cover the electronics with plastic to protect them from the moisture.

Yeah I wanna play lol. My car has a lid over the reciever and the 1100mah battery has a lid on it too should I still put some plastic over them? Is it ok If the servo's get wet or do they need plastic covering them also.

battery doesnt need any protection, but the reciever does and the servos too, some use i think it is called plastidip or something!

Dude don't do it! You have a new racing ride, don't foul it all up by driving it through wet nasty muddy grass.

The water will penetrate joint and hinge-pin, and will rust out your screws. Not to mention you'll never get it clean without stripping the whole thing.

Also, water being thrown up and cooling a new mill is not the best equation either.

This is all on top of possibly shorting something electrical out.

Been there done that. Will never do it ever again.

I would go for it if your electronics are in a sealed box... I have been driving my Truggy in snow all winter with out any problems. After I finish running I blow every thing off with an air compressor.

The RX is in a box but it's not water tight. The same for the battery. Wrap your receiver in something to keep water out.

I personally wouldn't do it. It will cause rust and other problems.

if your breaking in the engine i heard to run it on a flat surface the grass would put stress on the motor

Yeah maybe I should just wait a week or two until it dries up some. Would it be a bad idea trying to break it in on the street, it's dry?

Yeah it's a street in a housing development. There's hardly an traffic and the speed limit is 15. I also have alot of yard to play in but it's wet. Theres a huge speed bump in front of my house I can't wait to jump lol. I started to do some break-in today but it's 30 degress up here and I decides to wait until it gets warmer

You could use a hair dryer facing the engine to keep it warm for break in. Allot of the guys at our track do that and it works just fine. They place it right on the head facing down the engine.

It's going to be in the low 40's sunday i'm going to charge my batteries up and maybe get out and break it in sunday. Do you guys think it would be too cold? How long would it take to run out 3 tanks of fuel for the break in. I' m new to nitro but I've ran some electric.

i broke mine in wen it was in the 50's

LOL. If it is 30 degrees out side go break it in........ I have been running in 5 degree weather and I broke it in at 20 degrees (runs good).
