Mid tank mod finished! Pics!
Hey, all, I've just finished my mid tank mod and wanted to see what you all thought. I used a cut-down FLM plate to mount the steering servo in the stock location, but spaced it out about 1/2 inch to make a spot for the radio box. The tank is a Mugen MBXT-5 piece. The zip tie is a little cheesy, but I haven't come up with a more secure way to mount it. I've also included pics of my Ofna throttle mod. Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks!
Justin

Turn that front left shock mounting bolt around to face forward.
From the pic it looks like a hard frontend crash would put
that bolt through new fuel tank.

I see some crash protection, but does that extra bit of weight up front effect how the truck drives/handles/jumps? The Savvy stock jumps a little nose high, but I never thought it was so bad that it needed better front/rear weight balance. I figured the Rx pack and servos mounted up front would balance the weight of the engine/fuel tank ok.
I would be interested to hear a detailed before/after driving review of a mid tank mod.
The linkage looks good.
