Default cheap retrieval boat?

I was wondering what a good cheap retrieval boat would be? I don't want to spend much money at all. Would a cheap electric boat do the trick or not? I have an AC model 45 with a zen 260 on the way to give you an idea of the size / weight of boat. Thanks

Default RE: cheap retrevial boat?

In all honesty, the best way to go is a small raft that you can float yourself out to get the boat. You can get a 2 seater for fairly cheap. Add a small 12v electric pump and some oars and your set. Probably even cheaper than an electric and more dependable.

You may dump a whole battery pack trying to use an RC retrieval boat.

I agree with Ryan. I picked up a Coleman 2-man boat with oars from Wal-mart for under $30.00 . An air mattress or tire inflator will blow it up while you're unloading the rest of your gear.
Other ways of retrieval have their up and downsides. If the boat is out of casting distance and flipped over, other mothods won't work. I take along a fishing rod with a top-water lure for close retrievals but won't go to the pond without the inflatable.

Mine came with a high volume hand pump that actually works pretty well.
