Default MAN EAGLE 7

This months issue of Model Airplane News contains the latest version of the Eagle Sport Jet ( ver 7) it can be built with thrust vectoring and/or canards. Judging by the way that Version 5 flies ( GREAT) This version will be even better!!!

I have just completed construction of the Eagle VII and am currently conducting ground tests on handling and fuel consumption. Should be ready for flight tests in the next several weeks.

AS FAR AS I KNOW AT THIS TIME THERE ARE NO PRECUT PARTS FOR THE EAGLE 7. I AM USING A JET CAT P-60 ENGINE AND SPEKTRUM 2.4 GHz FOR RADIO CONTROL. RETRACTS ARE SPRING AIR AND BRAKES AND WHEELS ARE BVM.

Wow that looks really nice, good luck with it and send a PIC to the designer, Giancarlo Genta at: [email protected]. I really like my VER 5.0 but your version should be even more aerobatic and of course will be spectacular looking in the air. Try and get a video of the maiden and post it on YouTube or RCU videos... enjoy

The first flight was a little nerve racking, as the C/G was too far aft. I had it ballanced at the recomended C/G as shown on the plans but it was tail heavy. This resulted in mushy turns and a great deal of problems in landing. It took three attempts to get the plane down on the ground as it wanted to balloon up every time we tried to flare it out . I have moved the C/G foreward about 3/8" and we will give it another try maybe next week. In the process of landing the left main robostrut was damaged and I am waiting for the parts to fix it. I must say that you should have a very experience pilot make the first flight, I had a pilot with 9 years experience in jets make the first flight for me and as it turned out I was very glad I did. All the throws were as shown on the plans. I must say that the Eagle 7 realy looked great up in the air, it drew quite a bit of attention.

wow, my first EAGLE 5 flight was similar except that my CG was too far forward and I had difficulty flaring for a landing... the thing came in like a bullet and I too bent some LG. The Ver 5 also looks neat in the air! You ver should be more aerobatic! What LG units did you use?
