ok i took my engin out took apart the clutch i found that the screw that goes into the engin was lose causeing the fly wheel (i think ) to be lose so before i put it all back together again i need another question awnsered the slipper clutch is really tight around the nut thingy ( i really wish i had a parts list so i could put a name to these parts) any way i was just wondering if it was suppose to be really tight

RE: t-maxx problem
The nut holding the spur and slipper was tight? It should be releatively tight.

RE: t-maxx problem
Yes, they make steel spur gears. You risk stripping everything in your transmission by using one though. Better to strip the spur than destroy your transmission. I do know people who have used them without incident though. I just rather not take the risk, myself.

RE: t-maxx problem
you probably had the mesh between the motors clutchbell and the spur too tight or too loose. use a piece of paper between the gears for proper mesh and when your done everything should spin freely

RE: t-maxx problem
i would say about 60 percent of ppl have 1 or 2 extra spur gears in their toolboxes. i don't use the paper trick but i just make sure i can spin the spur gear and it spins really nice and free. and if your clutch is set to tight you will strip them out so i got my clutch set loose.
